Can You Join a Cabo ATV Tour Without Driving? A Passenger Checklist

Yes. Cabo Adventures describes a passenger option for its ATV Desert Adventure, including for adults without a driver's license. Before booking through ATV Cabo, ask the booking team to confirm an arrangement for your group. Being able to join as a passenger does not mean every combination of people can share a vehicle.

Start with a person-by-person checklist. A request for four guests leaves an important question unanswered: who plans to drive, and who needs a passenger place?

1. Give each person a role

• Driver: an adult who wants to operate the ATV and can present a valid driver's license. The operator requires drivers to be at least 18.

If a child meets the age requirement but is below the stated height, do not assume an accompanying parent creates an exception. Flag that situation before making a reservation. Near a measurement limit, ask which measurement the operator uses and how it is checked.

3. Describe your group's actual scenario

• Two adults, one licensed driver: say explicitly that the other adult needs to participate as a passenger, and request confirmation of the vehicle arrangement.
• One adult and two children: provide both children's ages and heights. Ask how many vehicles and eligible drivers the group would need; do not assume all three can share one ATV.
• Two adults who both prefer to be passengers: explain that neither intends to drive. Ask whether the operator can accommodate that request before booking.
• A traveler who has a license but will not have it available: disclose this in advance. Do not rely on changing roles when you arrive.

These examples are questions to resolve with the booking team, rather than confirmed seating combinations. A group headcount or a photograph cannot establish the vehicle allocation for your reservation.

4. Confirm vehicles before committing

Send your preferred date, the number of proposed drivers, and the number of passengers. Include children's ages and heights where relevant. Ask the team to explain the proposed allocation clearly enough that you can identify who would travel together.

• How many ATVs would our group use?
• How many passenger places are permitted on each vehicle assigned to us?
• Who would drive each ATV, and who would ride with them?
• Does the arrangement change if one person cannot participate or decides not to drive?

5. Resolve documents and last-minute changes in advance

Ask which documents each person must bring, including whether drivers must present the original physical license and whether any additional identification is needed. Do not assume a photo or digital copy will be accepted.

Also ask what happens if someone does not meet the operator's participation checks. A switch to passenger, a place to wait, or a refund should not be treated as guaranteed unless the team confirms the applicable option and conditions.
